Tednoloblog: Welcome

Hi! I'm Ted. On the internet I go by Tednology. And this, well, this is my first blog post.

Ever.

*crickets*

That may be a very inconsequential thing to you, my dear reader. However, for me, it is a big deal. Why's that? Well, that's largely due to the fact that I've been scheming to start a blog and posting my thoughts about tech since 2008. I've done all the scheming that aspiring Software Developers do:

Oh I'm super smart, I'll make my own custom web app showcasing my skills! I'll write a blogging platform, CMS, custom third party integrations, analytics...

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Do you think I ever got around to building any of those things for *myself*, pro bono, non gratis, for the fun of it? Well, no. But damn, did I have some ideas.

Yes, you see, procrastination! I am a champion procrastinator (as my friends, teachers, family and esteemed colleagues can recant some tales about) — but no, not today; today I will lend the torch to someone else.

So what's this blog all aboot, eh?

Ok ok, this is supposed to be an introductory post about this blog and all of the content that I will publish here. In this day and age, folks are losing their patience for long content pieces, so I'm going to keep it short. Here's what you can expect from the Tednoloblog:

And to further contextualize:

Yes, that comic strip on my home page proudly shows my back-end developer prowess. And yet, these days I'm even writing React + Redux. So, maybe I am a full-stack developer after all.

Stay tuned for less rambling and hopefully more education! In the mean time, find me on Twitter @ted_nology.

P.S. Oh and by the way, I actually did get around to writing that Blogging platform. In fact I'm using it right now to compose this post for you :). I just didn't do it for myself, I did it for PageCloud, where I am the principal developer and architect for all back-end services.
